We are so excited for the Olympic Games this year and we are all loving our cupcakes and cookies, aren't you?
Want an excuse to try some of our pastries and other desserts that may not be one of your staple items when you come in the bakery? Well now is your chance! Almost all of these products we have in our stores year around for you to enjoy, but with the Olympics going on we might as well focus on some of our products that come from the different countries all over the world!
ITALY
Take a look at the decadent pastries we offer from Italy! You may recognize the cream cheese cannoli because it has been one of the top selling pastries besides the Eclair for years! Also you can't go wrong with Tiramisu! Need bigger servings of Tiramisu? You can order it in a sheet cake if you wish and have plenty for everyone to enjoy! The Zeppole is much like a cream puff with a rich zeppole cream inside. You've seen this delicious dessert in our cases around St. Joseph's Day, but it has always been a bakery favorite!
ENGLAND
It's where the Olympic Games are taking place this year and believe it or not we have always had products specific to the Queen's taste! The European Petit Fours are smaller than our traditional American Petit Fours, but they aren't short on flavor! It's and almond cake with raspberry filling covered in chocolate, the only difference is in England you might find their miniature cakes covered in fondant. Also, we have a scrumptious bread pudding and our blueberry and orange cranberry scones that are great with your coffee in the morning!
POLAND
That's right jelly filled donuts or as we call them Paczki originated from Poland! Try our chocolate covered bavarian cream filled or try it with raspberry filling. The one covered in all that lip smacking powdered sugar is filled with lemon or we have a glazed Paczki filled with cherry! Another popular pastry that we carry that comes from Poland is rugelah - a puff pastry rolled up with either cinnamon, cream cheese or raspberry! It's a nice sweet little treat that's great any time of day!
FRANCE
WOW! Take a look at all of the tasty goodness that comes from France! Makes you want to visit there, huh? The popular Eclair filled with bavarian cream, also one of our top selling pastries for year! The decadent Napoleon which may be hard to eat, but it's definitely worth it - layers of puff pastry filled with thick layers of French cream! Want something completely different try our Creme Brulee that will leave you wishing you had another bite left! And of course the cute little almond meringue cookies, the Macarons in lemon, key lime, caramel, raspberry and chocolate! If you haven't tried one of these puffs of perfection yet, you are missing out!
MEXICO
Alright so some of these products are new, but we've decided to make them just for the Olympics because they are so much fun! We have the Mexican wedding cookies every day in our stores, but we're also making the triangular shaped fiesta cookies, much like a sugar cookie just braided and cut like they do in Mexico! You may have had Churros before, but you haven't tasted ours so come on in and give one a try! Also new are the Chonca Rolls a sweet dough covered in sugar that the only way to describe it is to come in and take a bite out of one!
