The Merritt's own classical design modeled after the elegant wedding cake styles of the past. Lady Windemere is adorned with sashes of  garlands overlaid with a medley of delicate strings. These are gathered together beneath a pair of roses touched off by cascading rosebuds, and lying in the center of each tier is a beautiful bouquet of roses. The Windemere is often used to showcase fresh flowers as well, in which case the full sized icing roses are omitted, leaving only the rosebuds at the points.
